About the Speaker
Mrs Saro Palakrishnan is no fresh face in Singapore’s social work sector. From her humble beginnings in nursing, her journey into social work from 1969 has amassed into nearly 45 years’ worth of keen experience in numerous hospitals around Singapore. She received the Outstanding Social Worker award in 1998 and the Courage medal for ‘committed and dedicated service’ during the 2003 SARS outbreak.
